When does the Plurel app launch, and on which platforms? +
Plurel launches in Spring 2027 on both iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play), with native support for both Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Join the early-access list with your email to reserve your invite for launch day.
Do all my friends need to download the Plurel app? +
No. Only the person starting the pool needs the Plurel app. Everyone else gets a clean link in iMessage, WhatsApp, SMS, or Instagram DM where they can pay their share with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any debit/credit card.
What happens if one person never pays their share? +
Nobody gets charged. Plurel uses an all-or-nothing hold: if the pool doesn’t reach 100% before the timer expires (or if you cancel the plan), every authorization is automatically released.
Where can we use the Plurel virtual card? +
Anywhere debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are accepted—online on Airbnb, Vrbo, Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, Delta, or Resy, and in-person by tapping your iPhone or Android phone at restaurants, bars, and stores.
What if the final dinner bill with tip is slightly less than what we pooled? +
Any unspent balance on the virtual card automatically returns pro-rata to each person who chipped in once the merchant charge settles.
